Been looking for a better toolbox for a long time now, and finally got one. :D Found a fuzzy craiglist add for a "Snap On tool box, blue" with a couple pictures. Took a look at it this morning and bought it on the spot. I'll get some better pictures when I get it home this weekend. :willy_nil

Its a KRL1001 with a stainless top and a hutch. Aside from a couple stickers it is in great condition. Here is a cell phone pic from this morning. Anyone know a good way to get stickers and double sided tape off with out wrecking the paint?

I can't wait to move into this thing, I'm so excited its going to be hard to sleep for the next few days.

I've had good luck with warming up the decals and removing what I can and then using WD40 to remove any remaining adhesive. If not, one of the commercial products like Goo Gone would work.

Nice job, im on grand island and I saw that 10 minutes after it was posted and knew it wouldnt last. I emailed my moms husband and told him to get on it, but you snooze you lose. I got a mac 1354 double bank that is 3 years old and if I didnt have that I would have been all over that box, almost was tempted to get it for the deal and throw it in the garage. Congrats

Most excellent. That's a beautiful box.

Get your fingernail under the corner and pull. You're not going to wreck that powdercoat pulling a sticker off of it.

Got it home and in place with no drama. Moved all the tools over, but still need to do some arranging to make it work better. Removed all the stickers and emblems over a few pops. Here are a couple snap shots, first one is what I was using ... out with the old and in with the new!

Its a great upgrade!

it is.. nice box.. might i recommend moving the handle bar over from the left side to the right side to allow for it to sit snug against the edge?

3m eraser wheel will take care of the tape and decals nicely.

I used a Norton wheel from an autobody paint supply place to remove the Snap on emblem tape on my KRA box. It made a mess of the paint. It left black streaks and gum eraser marks on the paint. I used a regular corded drill. It does remove the tape, but it left a hell of a mess. I could not wipe, clay bar or scrub the residue it left. I must have done something wrong:headscrat A body shop buffed it out for me. It looks better, but still isnt perfect.

Deff a big difference going from a HF box to a full size KRL. i too just purchased a KRL1022 and the 30 inch full length drawers are nice. i know you have empty drawers, i went from to HF boxs down to this one and had one partial empty and a full empty.

I hear those HF boxes sell over list on Craigs....

Yup, I sold the HF box to a buddy of mine within an hour of getting the KRL home.

lots of mechanics unemployed

Yeah, this guy was at a dealership that closed down a few years ago and now he is in a different line of work.

As for the stickers, I used Goo Gone and about 4 hours of patience. I think it came out great
