Hello all....first post. Thought I would share my new compressor I picked up. Been searching this site for info on it and here I am. It is a Quincy 310 ROC 11. The tank is 60 gallon I think and the plate on it shows 1947 so I assume they were "born" together. It supposedly runs good but I bought it without a motor so could not test it. It does turn freely though. I have a 3hp 220v 3450rpm motor for it that I am going to use and plan on using a 3.25 pulley so should run about 800 rpm. Looking forward to getting it together and running.
Also plan on hydrostatic testing the tank using the power washer method so if anyone has any tips and tricks for doing that let me know.
Should be a big improvement from my "5hp" 20 gallon Craftsman oil less that is for sure. Oh.......the best part......I paid 50.00 for the whole set up and the motor I had laying around!!
