So I have been looking for a router, and saw one on craigslist. I met the guy, and picked this up:
Older craftsman router, one of the "made in the good 'ol USA ones" not the newer ones that don't hold up. It was just what I was looking for!
It was a bit dirty and worn when I got it, but I started cleaning it up and it was actually just dirty, the condition was great once it cleaned up. Here's the pics of the clean-up and the final product.

Got the router, table, a brand new in package biscuit kit, a dovetail joint kit new in box, and a six-piece router bit kit in a wooden storage case, all for $40! I think I did quite well..

luvmyglock, Good score, except maybe the 6pc router bit set in wooden box. I say this because I bought the bit set and after a while looked closer and all the router bits are stamped China.

My father has the identical setup, he bought it around 1988 right before we moved out of our old house. I've still seen the miter gauges for them still stocked at the local Sears, it's the shallow one, not a deeper groove like on the table saws. I don't know about the fence.

25444 should be the model of that table and help you get any parts.

I didn't get the craftsman set with it. The set that came with it is a Ryobi set, actually. It's this one, only it's a six-piece because half of them are missing ;) :dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno:

I have used that same dovetail jig for many years. I mounted mine on a sheet of plywood I could clamp down easier. Don't be afraid to really tighten those wing nuts, go ahead and deform the angle iron holding the board down, it'll bounce back.

I got a similar bunch of Craftsman router accessories around 1981. The router table had a bad dip in the top of it, so it didn't get used much. I also got a whole bunch of high speed steel router bits, mostly useless, or a one shot use. I still use the dovetail jig, it was well made and accurate. I also got a router lathe, it's still never been used by me.
