I picked up a 94, 2 stage speedair compressor last night. did some research and looks to be a campbell hausfield pump. Has not been in service for last 5 years. Fired it up at sellers house and the cut off switch was stuck ran to 200 psi with no problem or effort. It is loud though,1600 rpm on pump. I don't need all the cfm it makes should i get a different motor pulley and slow it down some? Mike

Did you buy the compressor? Adjust the cut off to the correct pressure, most motors are 1725 ish rpm. You can add an extension to the air intake to quiet it down.

Yes i bought it, it is a 3450 motor with 1600 pump speed. the pressure switch is hanging up, poss needs cleaned, the contacts work ok but the plate moves a little stiff causing the cut out not to work. it will pop the relief at 200 psi.

Found the original grainger manual but can't find anything about the pump(5z641). The fan blows like a hurricane though.
