I just aquired this old snappy road box from my dad, who got it from my grandfather in 1980. I don't know what vintage it is, I'm guessing 60's, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I need to take the drawers out and clean the slides. I've already wiped it down, and got what crud I could, and tried to oil the slides, but they're still sticking. My dad laughed at me cleaning it saying the crud in the bottom of the drawers had been there since it was new. I had thoughts of refinishing it, but I think I like it just the way it is. Anyways just wanted to share, and if anyone has tips on getting the drawer slides apart please share (I haven't searched yet, but I'm gonna start right now).
