today i picked up a very old north brothers "yankee" 33h screw driver. im not sure how old it is, but i do it is really cool. it has 3 settings. on and off ratcheting, and a push twist.
I have some push drills like that. They work really good for making pilot holes. I was amazed the first time I used one how well it worked. I enjoy using old tools like these instead of modern drills, for small jobs around the house.
Yankee ratchet screwdrivers with a red painted wood handle are all over our car boot sales in the UK. Hardly a stall without one. They must have been a really big seller back in the day.
I never had a use for them, went straight from conventional screwdrivers to cordless.
