Hello everyone! I'm brand new to the forum, I found it while looking at ideas for a complete remodel of my 2 car detached garage. I know there is a lot of really good information already on this site. As I get started I'm wondering if people can help direct me to a few of the best threads that are already out there. I'm looking primarily for info on getting the most function out of my garage which is used mostly for wood working while keeping at least one car inside (knowing I'll have to pull them out one is needed and two is preferred but maybe too optimistic) I'm also looking for great ideas about everything else, flooring, lighting, electrical, wall material and storage concepts. I know that's a big list... thanks in advance for your time.

Welcome...

So is your garage destined to be a project space, or stable for the vehicles.. or both.
My thought is to have things like a table saw and drill press on casters that can easily be stored around the perimeter of the garage then wheeled to the center while in use. Vehicles would have a space when everything is put away but would have to be pulled out when undertaking shop projects.
