Hey everyone, I found this forum while on another forum and this one hopefully will help as much as the other one. I have two International Harvester pickups and a Scout and I'm restoring all three of them. I needed a place to keep them and work on them so I'm building a barn/workshop.

It's going to be 30'x50' enclosed with another 20'x50' covered with 25'x20' of the covered area in concrete.

I'll be needing to create work tables, cabinets, and other essential items to make the workplace functional so I'm going through everything on this forum I can find to give me some ideas.

I'm still trying to figure out navigation and other helpful tips to find stuff on this site so if anyone has any, please send my way. I'm assuming there is a search feature so that's where I'll start.

Also, if there are any car/truck restoration guys on here, any helpful ideas as to how you setup your shop would be a great help too.

Thanks all,
Tracy

Welcome from downunder.

I think you will find that the forum is a one stop shop, the search feature in the menu bar is a great place to start. I am still finding new stuff all the time.

As always, enjoy..

This is Bussy. She is in process of a full frame off resto-mod. Chassis has been powder coated, all diffs and ****** and TC have been rebuilt, disk brakes in front, and motor rebuild is almost finished. My biggrest project.

This is Lisa's Scout. They are both my best girls. But still no name for this nice '71 800B.

And this is Red, my newest edition to the family. This guy has NO rust and will be my daily driver. A little clear coat and paint job is done then just a few things to add creature comforts inside. Even has original upholstery which is pristine in back seat. Red came direct from Montana this past Monday. He is a gem...

So these girls and boys make up the reason why I'm building a 50'x50' barn/workshop. I think it's worth it myself...don't you?

Oh man you are a lucky guy
I would love to have a '65 Travelette to keep my '65 Chevy C-10 company.

I'd be hard pressed to turn down a K or KB series as well.

We had one of those old scouts in the late 70 s early 80s. She ran good for a vehicle in those days. Pulled my people out of ditches with it. Good luck and hope you find the answers your looking for.

Update on the barn/workshop progress: It's been a while since I've been on GJ as most all of my time has been getting the IHs in the workshop and moving all my junk from my other barn to my new one. Here are a few pics of the barn build.

Awesome!!! I replaced the roof and a couple walls on my metal building in 2011 when a tornado ran into it ... it would've been great to have your big crew! LOL

Please don't take this the wrong way but that's one fine erection you have there Mr. IH.

Sorry ... it's the Mike's Lemonade. That wasn't me typing ... it was an imposter. :Violent:
