Hello,been reading about bench vise's prior to joining and found out about all
the different makes and models.I'm presently restoring a Prentiss #93 from New York and it doesn't say "bulldog" anywhere.This was my fathers and has been sitting alone not being used.Mine bench vise i use is a Rock Island #571
swivel.Everyone here has inspired me to restore my fathers Prentise.I will
show pics when i learn how to here.Thx so much

Hello,awhile back i posted my fathers Prentiss #93 and now i finished it.
This vise had no rust and hardly any grit.Elected to remove the green paint,
spray shellac,wax,paint only the letter's and numbers.Crown collar intact
and used SUPER LUBE on all moving parts.Thx for all your tips on GJ,
