Craftsman C Series Tools

Are there any Craftsman collectors out there? I located a set of 1/2" sockets with C- numbers on them. Probally early ones. Would like to locate the missing pieces but not sure where to start. They came in a black metal craftsman flip top tool box.
Thanks,
TMAG

Craftsman Torque wrench.
It is according to the patent made by Sturtevant Tools issued May 19, 1942.
I also posted a picture in my album of a Sturtevant valve spring tester I bought to test my Ford flathead valve springs with......cool tool

ModelA: I've heard some guys go to a saddle making shop to get new really nice handles for your missing or broken one on your tool box. Its' usually not something the forum allows is a wanted thread inside the forum so keep adding catalog pages to posts for information as you are posting what sockets or wrenches you are looking for.

since you are a new member do you know how to PM yet? just ask if you have any questions and we'll help if we can or see it.

many Craftsman lovers here and 40+ years ago i think part of our weekend schedule was to go to Sears. we'd get fresh popcorn while dad shopped for more tools and mom shopped for clothes for the family. there used to be a few catalogs on some threads for Craftsman so if anybody has the link please post them for catalogs older than 1965 because i have a few holes in mine that I've saved to my laptop.

cheers

ModelAGuy, Sorry about the inconvenience, but the reason you cannot post a classified until you have hit one hundred posts is a good one. We get TONS of spammers who would like to take over this popular forum with their ads selling everything from age-creams to ***********. And we also get too many tool dealers who come here ONLY for a free place to sell tools. They typically start out innocently enough, make 5 or 6 posts, and then try to upload dozens and dozens of free ads to our classifieds.

This forum is only intended for folks who enjoy being here, in order to socialize with like-minded people who like tools, garages, cars, etc, etc. The classifieds are supposed to be only for occasional use, and only for use by regular members of this forum. It is not supposed to be a place for tool dealers to do their business for free.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience. But stick around, and you'll find lots of wonderful, like-minded people who like the same things you do. And you will be surprised how quickly you will reach that milestone, just through regular participation.

Welcome!

Makes sense.....I'll stop complaining :)

It's been a fun place and lots of info. I probally would not have bought the c series craftsman set without the info gleaned here and will use members to finish the set when I'm rich and famous!
Thanks!
