I gave an update somewhere else, but forgot this thread.
It bit the dust somewhere around june. The little hex head screw's head broke right off.
Was typically used in a 15-20ftlb range but believe the screw head broke from the flexing that was occurring while swinging. Did not replace it.
The head itself seemed pretty strong relatively speaking, and the reverse switch is "neat", but the pivot is a serious weak point.
I think it would still be ok if someone figures out a stronger pivot screw or pin and modifies it.
I've still got mine. I don't use it very often. The 14" handle has benefits, but often times its too long. Also, the thin handle makes it feel like you're pulling harder to achieve the same torque as a thicker handle.
The thin profile did help a lot about a month ago when i was installing some side steps on my wife's car. One 18mm bolt had an obstruction that I couldn't get any other 3/8 ratchet to fit, and it had such a tight swing arc that a wrench would have taken forever. And ... My gearwrench set at the time skipped the 18mm size
Since then, I picked up a 18mm gearwrench.
They raised the price to $30 at my HF. With 20% off to make it $24... Well, it's not my go to ratchet, but it does have some characteristics that can give it some advantages for certain tasks.
