Hi all long time reader first time poster

I currently own a KRL1022 Pit Wagon I have owned for a little over 3 years and for a few paint defects Snap On is going to warranty the box
I am getting credit of Pit Wagon but I am leaning towards the new Epic

here are a few box setups I am looking at
84" Epiq with power top and Hutch
68" Epic with power top and hutch and Locker
either setup is going to be Midnight blue with Titanium trim and black top

what are your thoughts on either setup, I am torn between the 2 and can't make a decision

any input appreciated

That is exactly what you need to decide. Bulk storage vs drawer surface area storage and top work space. Is this for work or home shop.

it is for work, I love the look of the 84 with power bank although I have never seen the 84 in person it is hard to determine how much drawer space is really available

An 84 is essentially a 68 epiq plus power bank. A 68 is roughly equivalent to a krl1023 in storage capacity. Hopefully that's the simplest way of describing an 84. It's a BIG box.

well I have been on google for couple hours now and it look like I should go epiq 84 and can always add a locker
if I start with 68 I may regret it in the long run

Start with the 84 and work your way there. No need to drop it all at once.

Plus let's say you desperately need that side locker since you work with thieves and can't leave your large bulk items on the floor in a milk crate till you can afford a matching locker... Just buy a cheap harbor freight locker and rattle can it black for now, or grab a locking black filing cabinet from staples.

If my assumption is correct that your getting black... You don't need top quality for a locker, it's just a large tin can, you can even get a locker off craigslist in any color and paint it. Kind If easy to color match black.

Ooooooh... I read quickly andsaw "midnight", in turn assumed that's a fancy name for, well, black.

Like my car's interior is "charcoal grey" which is a fancy name for garbage bag black.

So I say get the bigger box, a locking filling cabinet for $50. Then a matching locker as funds permit. You can always fill empty drawers or space tools out, but once it's full it's full,

well new box is ordered
I went with Snap On Epic 84 with power bank and hutch Candy Apple red with black trim,power black top,black snap on decals
I know I was going to order blue but i seen a epiq on the truck in Candy red with black trim and it looked oh so good

No kiss small button (fat fingers ) no power top, but it has the hole you add ya own power point from maplin. ;-)
