99.9% sure it's a debadged US General from Harbor Freight. They're great boxes for the price. Still not sure why people feel the need to take the emblems off, but to each their own.

Great excuse to go shopping, though for me, I learned I have to get the top box as well. Dooh!

I have considered getting 2 bottoms and bolting them side by side to make it 82" long, but I am now thinking that a top and bottom combo will work fine for me.

Shame. It's like dating a fat chick or riding a Japanese motorcycle, it's ok until someone sees you doing it.

Yep, I guess I get that. And I get that the new emblem looks like poo too. Really, not a good change on from HF as far as I am concerned. Then again, if everybody is pulling off the emblems, why bother. Still I am pround of the fact that I didn't overpay for a truck box brand and wear it like a badge of honor. I'm very value oriented, and to me the US General is the best bang for the buck. In the end, either way...who cares. Haha.

Personally, I don't like most badges, stickers ect... I certainly will not pay to advertise for anyone either. Ie... hats or t-shirts ect... The SO guy was trying to get me to buy one. LOL... told him, "if he wanted to pay for me to advertise for him I may do that for a price reduction on tools, but no way will I pay. " If he wants to give me a hat. I may choose to wear it or I may not. At least that is why I will take the badeges off.
To the OP, I did the same thing and I am still reorganizing to make everything fit in my garage.

I noticed the new product page up on HF for the 44" Cabinet says that the drawers have a spring loaded latch now, does yours have that or do they just bump closed.

Maybe stores haven't gotten in the new updated model yet.

mine are painted metalflake black. i needed to change it just a bit, i like the look, also swapped the 2 lower deep drawers for 4 shallow drawers. works a lot better for the tools that i have

k-os - pretty sure all of them have the detents.......and i dont think they are going to have the grip-latch style handle any time soon, was just in there the other day looking at some stuff

No mine just bump close. I asked about that before I bought it and the guy in the warehouse said it was a typo in the add only the bigger box has them.
