A good friend of mine gave me this. And I have no idea what it is or what it's used for. I would like to know more about this tool if you guys know anything about it.

Geez I was not expecting it to cost 557 brand new... I guess I lucked out today, thanks for all your input guys.

Yeah that's crazy! Foley-Belsaw has them for $20. I'm a locksmith, and I have the foley-Belsaw mic, but I usually just use regular dial calipers when U measure key cut depths. HPC does make quality tools though.
