So today i had to do 2 clutch jobs one on a cummins bases coach and one on a meduim sized van. My air ratchet lately has been a bit tired , an old ir air ratchet problably touching 20 years old and a bit, so today the tool man arrived , kinda early, and on special was this

Awa050b
So first up was the medium van , this thing even tore the wheel bolts and front hubs off. It had no issues with any bolt i threw at it hour an fortyfive mins later the van was done.
Neat up the cummins coach i grabbed for my awp050 big daddy and the awa050b first was the proppy bolts 16mm couldnt get the gun in square buut the head on the impact wrench was a bit big but i got it in there spun them out no probs next was wiring, cables and linkage , the gun stayed on the trolley
Then on to the bell housing and the gearbox mount and the clutch plate, this thing is great 5 hours the gearbox back in retarder on and propshaft reattached and i havent reached for my gun.
In short yes the heads a bit big , yes the things i bit heavey, and yes its no very well balanced.
However im impressed , very impressed and i will reach for it every time on on gearboxes before i reach and struggle with my gun again.

Had one of those when I was an auto tech. Too large for most things on passenger cars, but would come out whenever there was a challenge.

The Hammerhead was my very first air tool, even before the staple 2135TiMax as an auto tech.

Intake manifold/exhaust, clutches/flywheel, engine/****** swaps, sway bar links, strut mounts, engine mounts, belt tensioners, the list can go on and on (if your fist fits, the Hammerhead will too). As long as the fastener is spec'ed under 80ft-lb the Hammerhead will rip them off (even with a swivel impact socket) without ever breaking a sweat.

I did over 15 clutches, 7 engine swaps and 6 ****** swaps, can't ever imagine doing it without the hammerhead.

I was just so impreased , with my old noisy air ratchet id have to break tge bolt loose then all that noise from the ratchet , but this thing is quiet and effortless. I only bought it as i was getting arsey thinking about busted and chipped knuckles, and the mac man said try this. Best tool buy this year. Its a bit chunky n heavy but i needes the workout.

I have had the Ir Hammerhead for 6 months and love it for farm equipment repairs. It's awesome for breaking engine to transmission bolts and axle housing bolts loose where an impact won't fit. Be sure to get the rubber boot for the head, as it will get scuffed when you use it.
