So today I drove to NJ for my first ever trip to Harbor Freight. I planned to buy the US General 41" tool box. The store was actually a little nicer than I expected it to be after so many "opinions" here on the board. I ended up buying the tool box and a bunch of other stuff. I had a rain check for the bottom box for $299 from the last sale (thanks to nyjets53). The top box is currently on sale for $296. On top of that I used a 10%off coupon (also thanks to nyjets53). I got the top and bottom box for $540. I have to say this is by far an outstanding value for the money. This box is actually quite nice. I thought I might not like the finish but I ended up liking it quite a bit. Any other box I have seen of this quality has been much more expensive. Granted it's no Snap On or Matco but considering this whole box cost me about the same as the drawer liners on a Snap On, I'm very happy with it. Only had a little time to start loading it but some pics are below.

Congratulations on your purchase. The box is a house for your tools and I'd say you're off to a good start filling the box up.

I figured it's a wrench in the drawer beneath, but for some reason it looks like it's on the same level as the tools shown (higher than it should be).

I bet transferring your tools into a new box is fun and relaxing.

It doesn't surprise me that the Chinese would name it "U.S. General;" they wouldn't dare name it "Shin Fu sheet metal works."

Yeah, but too bad most of us didn't use that same scrutiny when selecting our wives or now ex-wives...:lol_hitti

I wonder why...:lol_hitti:beer:
