I got a new HF catalog today and noticed some new tools in it. They are marked with a "new" icon. I was getting sick of seeing the same old tools for years, so it's kinda refreshing.

Yes, they've sold every one of those items for several years now.

I have a set of those Go-Jack knockoffs, wish I had simply ponied up for the real-deal. They're better than nothing but still pretty flimsy. I had a set of Go-Jacks on my wrecker a decade ago now and they took a beating rolling over rough asphalt regularly without issue, the HF cheapies I've been dam careful of only on a nice concrete garage floor and have still tweaked them a bit.

Sorry I wasn't more detailed. Among its flaws is a circuitry omission that I avoid at all costs, where there's no overcharge protection. It takes quite a while to charge, and one must unplug it promptly when it's finished. I've missed it a couple times and now the battery is shot.

I've had one for about a year. It's OK for what you pay for it. I bought it cheaper than that. I'm pretty sure I was out the door for $25.
The tool truck ones are brighter but several times the price. I was surprised at how long the battery lasts. It has a high and low setting.

I generally don't read these HF threads, but I'm so glad I did. I just asked this same exact question about overcharging. I knew it was too good to be true.

I can't believe anyone pays $1,100 after tax for a hf box. Into used truck brand territory with that kind of cash.

Has anyone ever actually put 4,500 pounds in one of those?

Or wheel lift, or whatever you call it. The thing in the OP's message. Isn't that used to hold the wheel/tire in place, rather than trying to hump it up onto the lug nuts?

If you go to the HF coupon data base ( hfqpdb.com ) there is a valid coupon for the 72'' box at 999.99. good until july.

The first pic is a $4500 "truck box" in my local craigslist. The second is $2500.

I already own the exact same Mac minus the sides. I paid $300 because someone did a crappy rattle can paint job on it.

I'll happily pay the $770.39 for the HF 56" lower as I plan to get the upper later.

I've had mine for a couple years. It works great, and far cheaper than the over-price Mo-Jack, same thing, they just charge you a fortune for the name. The HF model won't fail and fall on you anymore likely than the Mo-Jack will, it has locking pins as you raise the mower that automatically lock in about every inch of height you raise the mower.
