And I can't wait to get my hands on them!:drool: I just ordered a IR 2135-I2MAX impact wrench and the SK 89650
5 Piece XXL Double Box G-Pro Metric Wrench Set
. I know I'll love the SK's because I have drooled over my bosses' for long enough! I'm just really happy that I am able to buy tools because I come from a family that is doing good if they have a Black & Decker drill and a Companion adjustable wrench.

Now, if it had a Snapon logo on the bottle, it would sell for $129.95, but this must be the Blue Point imported version. BEWARE! I saw that HF just came out with some cheap copys that look close to the same but you will DIE when you drink their imported trash! At least some guys will say you do!

Do I have the whole marketing concept down by now?

What do you think about the offset gear on those ratcheting wrenches? I was interested in that set, because some websites list the flexhead as "locking" but I don't think they lock. Please let us know when you get them.

I know that the offset gear can be a life saver in some places. These wrenches are perfect for replacing belts (the offset helps on the tensioner bolt) and flywheel bolts and many other things. Also, the main parts supplier for our shop (Mighty) warrantys them. And, no the flexhead does not lock.

It's pretty much a no lose situation.

Well, my airgun came in today! I didn't get a chance to look at it, since I had to ride home with another fellow from the shop, and he was in a hurry to get home. Well, by Thursday or so, I should also have my wrenches!

I know the thrill of seeing that the UPS guy has stopped by- really, getting stuff like that is more fun than about 90% of the birthday or Christmas presents I've ever received.

I am really tempted by the XXL (non-flex) S•K wrenches. I have always liked long double box ends.

Do your new wrenches state where they are made?

I am curious as to how those work. I have been tempted by the non-flex versions as well, wilbilt, but haven't put down the cash yet! I own the deep offset ratcheting box wrenches from SK and really like the fine tooth action (90 teeth) and low ratcheting torque. The only killer is the larger size of the head which limits access in some situations (as is the case with all ratcheting wrenches.) The other less than desirable quality is that the handle is "concave" when looked at from above. Basically, it is skinnier in the middle than the ends instead of a constant width along its length. It makes it difficult to grab sometimes, but not a big deal most of the time. Also, made in Taiwan but what can you do?

Aren't about all ratcheting wrench mechanisms made overseas anymore? My way of looking at it, is that if I have to buy a wrench with foreign parts, it might as well be an American company that I buy it from.

The handles are convex, and are nice and broad.

I bought a set of sk ratcheting wrenches.. normal size, open at one end.. flex head. I remember after I got them.. sometime in some situations, I wished they were longer. Then SK came out with the XXL ratcheting wrenches ! I thought.. I wish they had flex head XXL.. So, I bought a set of those XXL non flexing heads.. then about a year later they came out with flex XXL wrenches ! I havent yet to buy them......

I would doubt very highly if any Gearwrench style wrenches, regardless of the brand are made anywhere but Taiwan or China. I just really doubt that. Heck, even the Blue Points are made over there! If Snap-on had to resort to going offshore to compete with these I seriously doubt anyone else was able to get the job done!
