Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share my experience and some before and after pics of my project.

I recently purchased this home which had a poorly done epoxy finish on the garage floor. There was a lot of discoloration and where the saw cuts were filled in was all chipping off. I had debated just grinding and having the floor completely redone but wasn't really interested in doing it myself when I usually do things like this myself. It just seemed like it would take way too much time and wouldn't be much fun.

After lurking around here, I decided to try a garage tile and specifically the TrueLock HD product from Garage Flooring LLC. I liked the look, the price the great reviews, and the relative ease of installation. I ordered from the website www.garageflooringllc.com which was easy to navigate. There did end up being a shipping issue with the manufacturer that caused a little bit of a delay but Justin and his team quickly stepped up and made it right. From start to finish, including a lot of cutting and trimming for 800 sq/ft, the project (not including LED lighting conversion and paint) took about 8 hours with no help. See the transformation for yourself! I'm so glad that I made this choice!

Wow, that's an awesome looking garage in general! I really like the floor design. It's simple yet stylish with the two tone effect of the free flow style of tiles.

One more question for you, because I know we get asked this all the time and I would love your view... Bike on tile.... How does it sit. How does it hold up?

Wow that's stunning

That is some amazing work.
Really jealous of your floor.

Thank you!

The bike is on race stands now but was on the kickstand for several days with absolutely no marking, indentations, or damage of any kind. It sits like it did on the epoxy floor. I have no concerns about storing the bike on this floor.

It never ceases to amaze me how good the floor looks when the tile is put down. It is like you are in a totally different building.

I agree. I still cannot believe the difference.

A truly amazing looking space. Like a showroom in your garage.

So, educate me on the functionality of the product.

When you drive a wet / snow / mag chloride / salt / mud covered car into this space and park it, how does the moisture that gets under the tile get back out?

Same question if you get oil / transmission fluid / gear lube / gasoline / acetone / etc. onto the tiles.

Can this product be used in a daily driver / maintenance bay area?

Thanks.

The questions you have asked are key questions in determining if this product is right for you.

First, it is important to understand that the way the tile is designed, moisture can exit the system as it would if the tile is not there. If moisture typically pools and neither evaporates nor flows out of the garage, that is something to consider.

If there is not drywall to the floor, many of my customers will power wash it out from time to time. Personally we use a shop vac and have not had any liquid spills.

The idea here is you keep the visible surface dry, clean and safe to walk on and prevent stuff from being tracked around or spilling over into your belongings.

Like Justin said, moisture will get out the same way it did before I installed the floor. The tiles are "ribbed" and you can literally see your floor between the ribs, therefore moisture will simply evaporate. In my case, I also have a floor drain in the center of my garage where excessive melted snow, or rain water typically drains. The underside of the tiles are also channeled so that water can flow towards the drain with the slight slope that my floor has. A shop vac will easily remove debris like sand, dirt, etc. If needed, I could also unsnap sections and slide them over to expose the floor completely for deep cleaning. I will probably do this in the springtime where the cars actually park and I can simply hose and squeegee out to the driveway. I can also slide the section of tile out to the driveway where I could power wash it if needed. This is my daily driver garage that will also see a fair amount of snow. Although I do maintenance in my pole barn, this flooring would be suited for both, in my opinion.
