Has anyone seen these yet at Lowe's or any other electrical supply house ? They are making what looks like a small line of pliers made in USA

Are they as disproportionately priced as the Asian Southwire tools? Unless they're damn nice at GREAT price, it's still a brand I dislike, sold primarily at a store I dislike, and pitched by a couple "tool reviewer" buffoons that I dislike. Even still, I salute them for offering something made in the US. You don't often see brands moving that direction.

I agree with the reviewer comments. They just basically look at it and hold it and say it is quality. Seems like a paid commercial more than a review. I will bet the price will be higher than the regular stuff. Southwire basically took the Klein plier and screwdrivers line up sent it to China and said copy it. Then Lowe's sells it for USA made prices.

In some instances, the asian Southwire tools sold right next to their USA made Ideal equivalents, are more expensive or the same price. I bought my boss a set of Insulated Wera screwdrivers for less than the Souhtwire set. I guess they just bank on the "need it now" purchases.

Who are those bafoons? And wtf is with him constantly saying "they feel like quality tools". It made me want to slap him up side the head and tell him his needle is stuck. And ya like was said, what a total rip off of Klein's designs. As a electrical contractor for many years I spent some serious money with southwire. It's sad to see them pull the same **** everyone else in the industry is doing with the relabeling BS.

That how those two idiots do most of their videos. Make comments and reviews based on how they look or feel, nothing to actually back it up.

I could only tolerate about 5 seconds of that video.

I would not doubt for a second that these 2 don't even know how to use any of the tools they "review". Probably the worst review video I have seen.

I've eyeballed their stuff ever since Lowes started carrying it. Doesn't look very impressive to me, other electricians I've talked to have said the same thing.

I definitely don't think they're worth buying over Klein or Greenlee, and their high end stuff is on the same price scale.

I'm also immediately skeptical when Lowes stopped carrying Klein and Greenlee hand tools, and then Southwire licenses some hand tools to be made with their name on it and get Lowes to sell it almost exclusively. Seems like the business men and marketers have more to do with Southwire tool production than engineers or tradesmen do.

I have a lot of Klein, and honestly I think the Southwire stainless stuff is just as good or very close, and doesn't rust like crazy like my Klein stuff. The wire strippers work very well.
