Hello,
I've been in my garage for years but went for a long time using it to store a bunch of household junk and abandoned projects with just a bench, some automotive tools, and a chop saw; just in the past 6 months I have had all the junk hauled away and began turning it into a real shop where I am spending a lot of my time tinkering on things (mostly just tinkering on my shop).

I am excited about finding such an active community that I've already drawn a lot of inspiration from in the last few hours of looking around.

inspiration with a bit of intimidation too! I can't beleive how many industrial lathes and mills ive seen here, wow!

I am from Hastings, a small town but not quite as small as Worthington; now i'm in St Paul.

What part of Iowa are you? My mother's family was from Waterloo; still go there for reunions.
