Got it in and in place. Fits quite well surprisingly enough.

That's too funny. What a ridiculously appropriate and practical addition to your shop....and it looks so much smaller now that it's inside.I still think it's nothing less than awesome! Ed.

That is a monster. So yours is a model 22? Here are some specs i saw from catalog, and from a model 44

Capacity
model 22 round 3", square 2-3/4", 1/2" x 24" plate
model 44 round 4.25", 1" x 30" plate

Weight
model 22 approx. 10,000lbs
model 44 approx. 24,000lbs

Motor Hp
model 22-7.5hp
model 44-15hp

You would need a crane or forklift to get that size material into the shear lol

How does that thing cut round bar? Especially 3”?? Would it not just slide out of the jaws? Typically you have a guide or something to keep the bar stationary and the shear blade moves vertical past it.

How in the world did you move that thing? Having it is impressive enough, but nabbing it, loading it, moving it?? Gonna need a few details!

The one sitting in the bush is probably savable. Layers of old, grimy grease protects iron and steel very nicely.

That doesn't look anything like an Alligator. :D

But, that does look like a first-gen Eldorado back there... What's the story on that? (I have a pair of first-gen Toronados.)

Yeah it`s a 68. So as a Toro owner you`d be interested in this. Kent Moore j22214-5 and -3 with an original tube of lube .

-I'd be interested if I knew what it was. :D

I recall a whole page full of specialty Toro tooling in my old '66 Fischer Body Manual for the car, but it's been years since I dug that thing out and looked through it.

What's it do?

jabber, heres a "rube" 1 i bought at a auction at noon awhile back.... got it running and sold by 4pm b4 the auction was over. It was towed/placed on the engine end hitch by a wheel loader. Made some good operating capital that afternoon at that scrap yard sale!

That's cool, if the electric motor on mines a dud im thinking Detriot 2v53 or some bigger hit and miss power unit.

hit/miss cool, somethng with some torque.

Note 4 pic how this 1 is engaged with long piece channel that engages or not the belt. The weight of the channel with it engaged would keep that way. When not needed its lifted/held up and the pulley(electric motor) is off the belt.:lol_hitti Major scrapyard engineering going on. I wish i had a video.
good luck with ur project.
