new vintage floor jack

Nabbed this old beauty off my neighbor i`ts a trip you turn the handle and the big front wheels turn!!
Weaver model 1015? patents 424982, 1638791,1848035.
Anybody have any info about it?
Very Cool.. they made a Hydraulic Version with steerable wheels also..
That is the last incarnation of the Weaver Mechanical Jack. Previous models did not have the outboard rear wheels having rather a single or double wheels mounted inboard in the center of the jack. I am sure they went to the outboard wheels because of stability problems but I can tell you that the single wheeled ones rolled like a dream on the floor. These were made starting around 1930 and on till being discontinued sometime before the war. They were popular jacks as they sold quite well. I owed two of them at one time.

Great People to deal with.. Lots of good History links at that Addy.. If i had to have 1 jack and 1 jack only it would be a Weaver.. Ive seen some 50+ year old jacks come into the shop that still worked but leaked a bit..

Thanks for the link somehow I had missed that history page from before but this time around I found it. Great images of the Lo-Way Mechanical Jack with the single rear wheel.
I have a Weaver Catalog from the late 1940's showing on a page where they were trying to streamline their line of jacks. I guess to compete with the completion at the time. It shows skirted rear wheels on one of their jacks but it really is not much of an improvement and for all I know may never have actually been made.
