I tried Kroil, recommended here a while back. There was a link for a large can, pretty cheap with shipping from the manufacturer. Works pretty damn good. Found it worked where PB blaster wouldn't. I had some frozen, rusted parts with bushings and wasn't able to get them to rotate. Maybe a 100 of them that I tried several times with PB blaster. Waiting, letting soak overnight, hitting with rubber mallet, etc. etc. Tried with Kroil, and repeated process and that seemed to really help with many of them. Almost all, in fact. Don't know if the PB Blaster "helped" along the way or not.

Sure, there may be better sprays for specific applications, but for 90% of homeowners, etc WD40 is fine.

If you could only have one can of spray lube/goo remover/etc at home, what would it be?

goo-gone *****, leaves a gnarly residue. Of that list, how many are plastic safe?

Really? I've always been thrilled with Goo-gone. Never noticed a residue at all. I've noticed that before all the gum and adhesive is off, there's a residue, but never when it's all clean.

Correctomundo!

WD40 = Water Displacement 40th attempt. It was made by a trio of chemists who set out to create something to prevent aeronautical parts from rusting. :)

Shame it isn't true. We are not even allowed to use it where I work (airline maintenance hangar) since it doesn't really displace moisture, but rather absorbs it, it creates rust. Too many good lubricants and penetrates on the market. Yes, I have a can, I've had it for years, and sometimes grab it to remove tape sticky, or something equally mundane.

Kroil. Then again, I don't believe in "do-all" products, they're mediocre at everything, good at nothing.
