Hey all! I picked up my first welder last weekend. Can't wait to try it out. I bought a Lincoln 3200HD Weld Pak from Home Depot. It was selling for $459.00, but the salesman said he could nock $50 off if I took it home then. Does anyone have any experience with this model?

It's a 120v, max output is 135 amps. I know it doesn't compare to the larger units, but I will mostly use it for body work, minor repairs/fab work.

Use it for your needs for what size it is and you will do fine . Once you need to make bigger and larger things (thicker steel ) then its time to upgrade to the right tool for the job. If you stay away from building things from what the welder size wasnt made for like car trailers and hitches ect.. you will have the right welder.

Now go burn some steel .:shocking:

I have a Hobart HH140, which is basically in the same class. You can get some nice welds - even on thicker stuff, but you gotta pay attention to your preparation of the welds.
