New welding table in a day !!!

I decided this morning to build a bigger better welding / work bench .I used some of the spare metal,scaffolding I had in my metal pile. The first pic is my old , small table....then my new one.

Do you have any issues with welding berries going through the plastic of the insulation ?


I llike the bench, simple and heavy duty.

Nice job.
Might have to cut down the legs on the chop saw so that it tucks under your new bench.
What do you use the winch on the crossmember for?

Yes I am trying to decide just what to do with the c/o saw.
The winch is used to pull my airplane in backwards.When I pull it in nose first ,I just taxi it in.

Hard to tell for me from the pics, but the grinder and vise - I see they are attached to the plate steel.

Is that plate steel then welded direct to the table frame top and posts?

I also have created a workbench from racking like that. Going to try to post up my pics this week finally of the build.
