I recently bought a Bullet vise and was doing a little research on it and found hundreds of threads about vises on this site! who knew such a site existed!

Does anyone know much about this vise? cant seem to find much about it, such as a normal bullet or a baby bullet?

There are many threads here dedicated to Wilton bullet vises. Several experts here know everything there is to know about these rigs and surely will chime in.

That said, you don't have a baby bullet here. You have what looks like a 4 inch jaw Schiller Park that someone spray bombed. You can remove the slide and find the date code on the bottom along the spine. Sometimes you have to clean it to see the stamp.

From the pictures, it appears that with some elbow grease and a proper respray, you'll have a really nice bench vise.

Welcome.

Judging from the color and overspray on the table, we may already know who did the "spray bomb"

Hahaa, it’s actually not my work. I got these pictures from the listing and like you said, it has been spray bombed unfortunantly. I’m thinking of sanding it and fixing it up a little. I paid 100 for, not quite sure how I did with the price, what would something like this even be worth? The numbers are all over the place. What do you think?

I think you got a kickass price as long as its in perfect working order. But you’ll find that some guys here will say ya got ripped off. Somehow or another there’s a whole group here that seem to find $1000 vises and get paid to hall them off. These are the very same guys that think Wilton is a four letter word :p

$100 doesn't sound bad to me, especially if its a functioning model.

Does it function properly?

I'd strip it down and re-paint it and clean all the hardware up.

100 bucks for a 4 inch bullet is a great price. You can easily straighten that bent swivel handle, repaint it and have a vise that will outlive you.

If you decide to strip it down and clean it up, post pictures. We love pictures.
