Hey guys,
First post! :bounce:

I've been semi-compulsively upgrading my garage for the last few weeks using ideas and advice from these forums. Great information and some amazing shops here! After a few years in an apartment, I just bought a house with a modern 2 car garage so...game on.

So far: I put down that Quikrete 2 part epoxy (probably would have used another brand but that was before I found this site). Put up a ceiling joist suspended loft-type storage rack. Hung those Gladiator wall tracks and a couple of their wall cabinets, and tool hangers. Got me some black and white VCT for the little 3 foot wide concrete footer deal at the front of the garage. I'll post some before and after pictures at some point, but now on to the point of the post.

I was about to build a workbench, but I really wanted something heavy duty and metal to go along with the rest of my stuff (stainless csps toolbox for example). I managed to score this off craigslist for $70! Probably cheap as the lumber I would have used and it's wicked heavy duty. 1 inch thick top, 6 foot long with beefy steel frame. I thought it was quite a score. Ok, mostly wanted to introduce myself, see yall around.

Thats a cool little workbench, you know theres holes on the side to make it more sturdier too. that looks like a perfect size for a tall stool so you can sit down and really get your hands on something, Great find

Good price on the stool. I would probably prefer it without the flames but pretty cool nonetheless.

The big project I've got coming up is upgrading the electrical in the whole garage. When they built it, they put in a grand total of 2 outlets, one of which is in the ceiling... Gonna get sparky to run a sub panel for the garage. Then I'm going to set up a 220 mini split AC, a couple 220 outlets and a bunch more general service outlets.

It's prohibitively hot in the summer here (Texas Gulf Coast), so the AC is 100% priority to get done this winter. Even though it's cooling off now, when I leave the doors open the skeeters eat me up.
