Thanks for starting this thread DFB, keeping track of all the post-holiday / clearance deals between now and January, 31, 2017. Cheers!

Which one are you getting? On my list of things to get

The 17 inch version, looks really handy for woodworking. My bench top press aside from not being precise at all, can't accommodate anything large.

I can't afford to keep saving so much money because of this site.

I know what you mean the acme email cost me $200 today :(

Eh you guys...sadly or is that happily :headscrat

I couldn't resist a good tool discount offer either! :lol_hitti

And I also bumped it to the min. free shipping status too.

Funny how a guy will consider spending a bit more to "save" on those minimal shipping costs :D

Thought I bump this up

And lay out some of the current Milwaukee offers :D

So ACME has the Gen1 Milwaukee Fuel combo for $249 right now and that comes with (2) 4.0ah batteries. I have owned this set very good tools the drill is powerful (750inlbs) and I really like the 3 mode impact (1600 inlbs)

http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-2797-22-m18-fuel-hammer-drill-impact-driver

And as comparison HD has the brushed 2697-22 drill and impact driver kit 550/1400 in lbs with (2) 3.0ah batteries also for the same $249 and this is currently includes a $50 markdown. (Just as FYI that is less than the 2.0 compact battery 2697-22 CT offering being sold at a few places right now)

Interesting thing about some of these promos is if you spend more you generally get more right? :bounce:

Now one can purchase the Gen 2 Fuel hammerdrill/ and 4 mode impact combo kit 1200in/1800 in lbs with 5.0ah for $399 but will get a $150 instant rebate the purchase of yet another tool, so in effect the 2897 combo could also be looked as costing only $249 too. The discount wont actually be applied that way upon checkout though. :willy_nil

And very last the 2799 non Fuel brushless CX hammer drill impact kit 550/1500 in lb (1) 4.0 ah and (1) 2.0 ah battery at $299 gets a limited choice free tool so basically spending $50 more saves approx. $50 on avg . :headscrat.

Quite confusing hey
