Hey, I just got refered here by lkdelta. I've got 20 acres with a 4 car detached garage with a bonus room and an office in it in north alabama. Its in need of some repair, hopefully this is the place to start.

I will most definitely start a thread to show off the garage and office...however, before I do so, I want everyone to understand that every bit of it, including the mess, is completely inherited. The buildings and 20 acres were purchased by my grandfather in the late 1960s and the Galaxie 500 was left to me when my father died in 1986. With that being said, I will try to start taking some decent pictures.

What are you making apologies for the place? To heck with that! It sounds awesome.

I inherited my grandparents' old place. I've been here going on twelve years, and I still am chipping away at removing trash, taking down old dilapidated sheds, repairing the house etc. But the family history here exists only here, and cannot be purchased elsewhere. Sounds like the same deal for you.

Yeah, you done good. I also brought on a new member today, when I visited his automotive machine shop. He is signed on as zebco, and I'm sure he'll introduce himself eventually. We've been friends for over 40 years.
