If anyone has these cabinets in Taupe could you post pictures? The pictures on the website look quite yelloweee... I saw one fella on here who had uppers in taupe and I like the look of more sand color then yelloweee.

I'm really torn! The grey is easy and safe, but I'd like to be different. I really like the way the taupe looks in the above.

I plan on a work bench across 19 feet with 2 STD base cabinets 1 base with a drawer then a gap then base cabinet with drawer then 1 STD base cabinet then my beer fridge at the end.
Then above the opposite end of fridge 1 upper cab then down that wall 5 more uppers.

Any feed back on these cabinets would be great. I'm also not sure if I should put all base cabinets with drawers or is 2 enough?

Pros of Grey vs Taupe
Grey Does not show grease /dirt as bad
Grey mixes with more colors better
Cons of grey
Lots of people have it!!!
Taupe looks classier! Grey is more industrial.

Any input ! Thx allot!

They're more sand/brown than yellow. Here's what it looks like next to rustoleum grey paint and primer under fluorescent lights. The paper is white.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Do you have uppers? Lowers?
Have they held up ok?
Have you loaded them with heavy items?
Are you happy? Or Sad with your purchase?
Once bolted to wall are they solid?
Thx

Yes I'm happy with them and they've held up well so far. That's my photo you linked above. The original review is here: http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=240770

I doubt I've loaded them to capacity. The heaviest single item that I've put in one is 35 lb battery charger. I've loaded them and stacked blown molded tools cases on top as well but I doubt I'm at 160 lbs. I installed them using a cleat system and they're solid.

@ZRX61: Taupe is the wrong thing to call garage cabinets but I guess light brown/dark gray was taken. :lol_hitti

Awesome !
Did you French cleat each cabinet individually so you can move up / down and to other areas?
Thx for the info. It's really hard buying them without actually putting your hands on them!

Yes I put 2 short cleats on the back of each cabinet mounted at the top and bottom with wood screws and fender washers. The bottom cleat was overkill; a spacer block would have been sufficient. I can move the cabinets up and down as needed and slide them from side to side. I've yet to put in the air line drops so the cleats give me the most flexibility for later.

These are the gray cabinets.

We are currently having a close out of the Pro-Series Diamond Plate Cabinets at an additional 20% off the already 10% on individual cabinet prices on orders over 1000.00 and 20% off orders over 3000.00.

Ahhh I see the ad now! It does not show on my phone. Do you ship to Canada?

Costco had them on special as a package of four. The tool drawers are from Staples. I've got a counter top coming for them.

I used "taupe" trim when I built my house 20 years ago. I first noticed it at a car show where I saw it on a restored Model A. I asked the owner about the color and he said "taupe", a normal factory color on the Model A. I does tend to hide dirt fairly well.

Costco is a pretty large company, they get better pricing on sets that are made up just for them to sell. If your in the continual United States and want to purchase NewAge cabinets to fit your space better than a Costco set, try the smaller distributors they can get what you need.

1 locker @ 699.99 ea
4 base cabinets @379.99 ea = 1519.96
6 wall cabinets @199.99 ea = 1199.94
Totals 3419.89 minus 20% discount (683.98) for orders over $3000 equals 2735.91

That order would have been 2735.91 through ShopStorageCabinets.com

Could be the exchange rate don't know :headscrat

Well my Grey Base cabinets showed up today. I'm pretty impressed on the construction of these cabinets. They seam very sturdy and will only get better once screwed to the wall. Sliding drawer works good, smooth but no weight yet so time will tell.

But for the price I'm very happy. Compared to some I looked at in Sears and Canadian Tire, these are waaaay better.
