Newage cabinets ordered

So, after much anxiety on my part, I finally placed an order with New Age for their 9 piece Cabinet set , and what they call a project center, but what I'll be using, or at least thing I'll be using for most of my hand tools.

Why the 9 piece cabinet set, space considerations originally had me thinking these would go in our utility room off the original two car garage, but upon reflection, even now, while still moving stuff around, and barely spending any time working on the cars (more wood working right now), felt that placing them in the larger garage is going to be the better choice, and leave the original utility room and 2 car garage for storage and parking of the smaller cars (SWMBO 2.5L, 06 Miata GT, and my ERA 289 FIA Cobra)

Less is more in this case, with the cabinets above, I'm sure I'll come close to filling them with what I brought over from the other house.

The rolling toolchest, well, I could have used the smaller boxes above, but figured, heck, why not, it will give me a chance to work on my organizational skills, which have been stagnant for several years.

Only setback right now, while their website showed everything in stock (red/black, or black/grey), in reality, 6 pieces are back-ordered until the end of June or early July.......Got an extra few hundred dollars off for my troubles, but it's the principal of it all. I wanted to get things set up and unboxed so I could move on with some of the projects awaiting my time and energy.

Anyone else have Newage products? If so, show me what you have, and tell me how you like them.

I have 36’ of New Age Pro plus a couple of Bold lockers on one side where I preferred 18” to 24” depth. It’s good homeowner grade but would get destroyed in an auto mechanics shop. Buy real tool chests for serious use. I am just a DIYer with occasional projects, mostly automotive.

My neighbor just ordered that same set in the same red black. One of the tall cabinets arrived damaged at the base and he has been fighting with them for weeks to get a replacement.

I'm hoping they are better than what I've seen at the big box stores recently. Huskey and Craftsman used to be well built, sturdy, but what I've laid my hands on, just not what I'm used to. Have a friend on the west coast with them, so I'm hoping his input and description meets me actual, hands on expectations.

Installed 10 piece Bold cabinets back in 2018. I mounted them all directly to the wall. They've served me well so far.

That is my plan as well, lay them out, place them where I want them (two spots on opposite walls in consideration), level them, then bolt them to the walls. Simple, elegant, permanent, at least for me.

Thanks

Got a mix of Pro and Bold. Both are solid, I like the Pro a little more because you can mount to the wall without legs and lockers have more shelf set options.

I went with the Pro series and really like them. I recommend taking a bunch of photos as they unload, and note any blemishes on the boxes.

I had one drawer glide with a cracked plastic back end, but the drawer still worked. I sent New Age photos, and they quickly offered a credit for the hassle. (I didn't push for a replacement part since it still worked okay.)

Thought I would do a quick follow up as to my experience with New Age, and what I think of their products.
April 25th I placed my order, originally, they all showed in stock, but when my order was placed and paid for, the email I received, as noted above, there were several items (all it turned out) that were out of stock (all colors), and my order would not arrive till the end of June, or early July.
Fast forward to July 2nd, when I get an email that my order has shipped
July 15th, my rolling cart was delivered, but the additional pallet with the rest of my items was MIA.
Won't get into the multitude of daily calls between myself, the shipper, and NewAge.
NewAge insists everything shipped, the shipper states they only picked up one item from NewAge in Orlando, back and forth we go with both customer service departments.......Until I get an escalation manager for NewAge involved, who promptly states it should not be an issue to just have another pallet of my missing items shipped (Teaneck, NJ warehouse) on July 22nd, and arrives at my home on July 26th, a few hours before our trip to NJ (go figure).
Again, fast forward to August 2nd when I started to unwrap and uncrate the pallet load of cabinets and such.......I can say, everything was extremely well packed, with absolutely no damage on anything I ordered. Spent a few hours yesterday putting things together, finished off the three floating cabinets above the work bench this AM and started moving tools over from the vintage 1986 Craftsman tool chest before the garage heated up to 87 degrees a few minutes ago. Nothing feels better then reorganizing tools in a new tool chest. Only three drawers done, with 3/4 of the old toolbox to still go through, along with the roughly 1 dozen or so boxes with various tools and parts from the move in March.

Again, well made products, will suit my purposes well, although I may need another cabinet or two, we will see over time.

Just wanted to post a quick follow up as to my interaction(s) with New Age (corporate), after a follow up with their senior customer resolution department, they have made me whole (details confidential, but acceptable and fair for both parties) , for lack of a better term and I'm pleased with the way things turned out. The funny part of the whole situation, last Friday morning, I get a call, email, and text from the shipping company looking to set up a day and time for delivery of the original (lost in shipping) pallet. Called them back and informed them my replacement shipment was already delivered and that the pallet in question needs to be set back to New Age. They seemed annoyed with me for declining after all the trouble they went through in hunting it down and getting it here to SC. Oh well, that is the way it goes in the shipping business I guess. I jokingly asked the customer service resolution manager if he wanted them back, of course I ensured them I had already declined the delivery..

I got the PRO with a similar setup as yours, except I left the middle empty and put a stool there. I don't think I have EVER sat in that stool - always standing at the bench instead. So if I could do it again, the only thing I would change is adding that middle cabinet, so good call there. Also, at 5'9", sometimes I need to stand on that stool to find what I'm looking for in the upper cabinets.

Hello; I purchased the 8 piece set, pro series and really like the wall mount option. Wife is concerned with it coming off the wall and damaging her BMW. Do you know if anyone has had an issue with wall mounting the 36" & 48" Pro series lockers per their directions? Or is there additional things I should do as well to confirm it will work for a long time? Thanks.

I just ordered this today from Costco for $1199 and free shipping. We moved into our newly built house on Dec 3rd and I've had a lot of wife projects and unpacking. The garage is a disaster area. Need to build an overhead shelf system to things that aren't used often. Once this arrives I'll get all of my tools in order as I've been overflowing my roller chest for years. I still need to find some floor cabinets but not in a hurry.

I've had my Bold series cabinets for about 7 years now and they have held up great for home garage/DIY use. I'm not sure how much they cost now but back when I bought them they were a great deal at under $1000 for the set. I just bought the corner cabinet and one additional cabinet separately. Home Depot used to sell individual cabinets for under $100 on sale if I remember correctly.
