Newb from Oregon

Hello! I am a newb who was doing some research on a durochrome ratchet and stumbled upon this site. I poked around and found a lot of great info, interesting topics, and helpful folks. Hopefully I will be able to contribute to the site as well.

I don't actually have a garage, just a carport and a small shop. Someday! I have a classic car, a lot of old tools, some new tools, and enjoy puttering around in my shop on various projects.

DC: you found the right site to land on. I've joined a few other forums and it might be weeks or months before getting replies to some questions that didn't seem that difficult. anyway we don't know everything, but i bet if you ask the questions somebody on our forum knows the answers if they see the question.

that said we all want a bigger nicer garage even those guys with the 40 x 120 garages say it's not big enough.

i like old tools so i usually hang over in those sections, but i have been looking at the garages in garage gallery so i'll have an idea of what i want to build once the kids are gone and on their own for good.

any pictures of your tools or classic car to post on your thread here please do if you have some. also if you have any questions on how to use the forum just ask or enjoy the reading and ask questions on those threads if you have any.

I live out in the country, pretty mellow out here. Here are a few of my older tools, my workshop,is a mess (as usual) and I am dreaming of a real garage.

I love boats and one of my dreams is to have a railway with a boat garage.
