Hello from SE Nebraska. I'm 59 years old, work as a chemistry instructor at a nuclear plant. I come from a working background as an electronics technician, steam plant mechanical maintenance mechanic, chemistry technician, and gamma spectroscopy system maintenance / repair.

I am within two years of retirement. I want to have my own 'mad scientist' hobbyist laboratory, repair shop, vehicle repair bays, and gardening support center. A small kitchen will be built to handle garden canning / drying, and my own cooking, as my significant other has 'issues' with me using 'her' kitchen. Eventually, I plan to have a 25' X 25' patio on the south end of the 'shop'. This spring I had a 24' X 48' structure with concrete floor, with the internal walls in place. The structure is a standard wood stick structure, 9' ceiling, with a storage loft, 12' X 48' dimensions.

I am currently waiting on the electrician to install the 200 amp 220 VAC service panel (The house has 400 amp service). Driveway concrete / gravel approach is still up-in-the-air, as I'm still trying to figure out how to handle the rainwater drainage. I am waiting for a local concrete concrete/driveway contractor to get back with me. Gas company/metering will be handled down the line. Plumbing will be handled by me and by a local plumbing company that my late son-in-law used to work for. Most of the plumbing had been planned to be performed by my son-in-law, but his sudden death has required considerable re-work of the schedules.

I want to have air pressure, water, 220 VAC, 120 VAC available in the automotive bays. I want air, water, reagent grade water, 220 VAC, 120 VAC, vacuum, 12 VDC at 50 amps, and 0-50 VDC at 30 amps available in the 'Mad Scientist' laboratory. I want hot and cold water, sewer waste drainage, 120 VAC, 220 VAC, and a high vacuum connection in the kitchen.

Walls will be covered with OSB or OCB. I'll decide later whether or not to paint. Anyway, there you are. If anybody has any ideas, I'm open to looking at them.
