Hey I just want to introduce myself. My name is Dan and I'm new to this site and haven't even lurked much at all. I'm in the process of building a pole barn addition to my current shop. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all and can't wait to get ideas and help with my building.

My existing pole barn was on a 40x40 footprint with a portion of that being a 10x24 overhang. So basically my original shop was 30x40 with 10' ceilings and small workbench area. I'm adding on to the front of that building with a 46'x48' shop with 14' ceilings.

As you can tell by my login ID (C10Dan) I love to play with Chevy C10 trucks. I'm into the 67-72 C10's and had a 69, 70 & 71. I recently sold the 1969 C20 and only have the 1970 and 1971. The 1970 is my avatar picture and is actually a K10 4WD. The 1971 is currently going through a full restoration and will be a high-end resto-mod.

My plans for my workshop addition will eventually include a good source of heat and 2-post lift for working on my toys. Cheers!! :rocker:

Welcome! I stopped in a couple Buffalo microbreweries on my way to Niagara on the Lake in July. I've been to The Anchor Bar, too.

DAN: if you might want to post up a few pictures to show us your big shop that you are making BIGGER that will be good practice cause here at Garage Journal we are maybe more visual than we like to read. a good combo of both is ideal though.

WELCOME and how much snow do you have already? any pictures of the white stuff?
