Man am I happy I found this site. I've been thinking there HAS to be a site oiut there dedicated to garage stuff!!! And I finally stumbled about the garage journal.
Am in the infancy stages of planning an accesory building on my 2 acres. Zoning in my area dictates max size to be 1500 sq. foot. That is what I am going with. Likely 30x45. Have yet to decide exact location on the property though. Would like it near the house but the way the house sits on the lot, it would require LOADS of fill to get a level spot AND it would then look so crammed as the property line would be so close to the new structure. Have therefore almost settled on back behind the house where it is considerably more level with a very short drive to the middle of the property.
Then the other thing I have yet to decide on is: stick builton monolithic slab v. pole shed. I do plan on finishing the inside for work AND play and am therefore leaning towards stick built for easier interior finishing.
The stick built v. pole shed is what I have been researching on the forums. Just so many things to consider. .....will keep searching here for all the answers and ideas of components to consider for my garage. Thanks all.
