Hello everyone. I got linked over here from another forum I frequent. What a great site!
A little about me-
Been into cars and drag racing as long as I can remember.
I was an auto mechanic for about 7 years- mostly at a Pontiac dealership, then at a performance shop in Jacksonville, FL. About 3 years ago the performance shop that I was working at closed and I decided that I wanted to get out of the mechanic's game. The job market sucked though, so I figured it was a good time to go back to school and finish out my Bachelor's degree. In December I graduated with a BBA in Corporate Finance and wouldn't you know, the job market ***** more now than it did when I left it!
So that's me, the mechanic that doesn't want to be a mechanic anymore, looking for a job... Of course that does afford me a lot of spare time to play with things in the garage. I'm currently putting together a workbench and learning to weld in the process (I've had a Lincoln 180 MIG sitting in the garage collecting dust since I got it about 6 months ago). I've already fished a few ideas from this site. Look forward to finding some more cool stuff to do.
