I thought I should introduce myself. I have been lurking on the site for about six months gathering some info on various alternatives, primarily for flooring, but also for cabinets. I have to say there are some pretty impressive garages out there; and that word does not do them justice! WOW! 
This site is a terrific resource for all you want/need to know about garage options.
My space is pretty much a standard two car garage. I decided on the VCT for the floor primarily because my garage gets very little use from vehicles. It is used mainly as a workshop so I expect little in the way of issues with the VCT.
I hunted all over for cabinets that would give me the size and layout that I wanted. They are out there but far more than my budget would allow. (wife doesn't like being called "budget" though). I have ended up making my own and got what I wanted. I'm now in the process of assimilating all the "junk" into the new cabinets and finishing up the painting. I guess I should post some pics when done.
