Hello from downtown Phoenix AZ. I'm building a new garage in a downtown historic district.

The old garage was falling down and it was designed for a model A or something similarly sized. It was 11'x17' block.

The house needed some renovations too so a new garage was natural. I'll start a build thread later... and a gallery.

For now.. Hi.

Welcome from anther HAMBer, although I spend more time here. That Garage has character and the Rod does not look out of place.

Thanks. This is a pretty old picture, but it shows what I was dealing with as far as space. I have since swapped the roadster body out for a coupe body, and sold the chopper. I had to be a gymnast just to get into the garage and get a tool without pulling everything out first.

I was just searching my PC for the pictures of the cracks in the masonry, and of the demolition and I couldn't find them. I think I have them on my work PC, so I'll post them soon.

I'm all about authenticity, so it was a tough decision for me to tear that old garage down, and I have a lot of memories in there, but the new one will be worth it!

Welcome to the GJ from VA!
Thanks for the pic and background. Authenticity is great, but functionality is even better.
