I am in the process of building a 28 X 32 foot, 12 foot ceiling garage for my 2 Camaros...a 69 and 02 LE convertible. I am going to heat it with a natural gas modine hot dog heater, just to maintain a 40 degree temperature in the winter. I have the foundation in and ready to back fill ( 12" thick footer with 4' walls) and plan on putting 2" thick insulation on the inside walls 34" up then a 2' section under the slab. Question is do I cut the side insulation to 32" and put the piece under the slab over it or on the side of the 34" piece. I will be pouring a 5" thick floor on top 4000psi fiberglass impregnated crete. The building inspector wanted me to cut the side piece at a 45 degree angle then **** the side piece up to it, but cutting that stuff at an angle is a bear! And what is the best way to cut that stuff, i'm currently using a sawsall with a wood cutting blade?
