Newbie from Kelowna

Hi guys ...& gals;

I have lurked for over a year now and thought I should finally climb on board. I started building a new garage last year. It has just over 2000 sq. ft. on the ground floor and a 600 sq. ft. mezzanine for the boys to hang out & bench race. I'll get a thread started if you want to see what it takes to build a garage on the side of a mountain. There are some great contributors here with unique ideas. Thank you one and all!

Yeah, I normally work a 6 week on/off schedule....however, for one reason and another I have been working this time since the middle of October and will head to Canada around the middle of May. The winters here in Abu Dhabi are perfect, the winters in Canada are.......not so perfect shall we say.

Yup, I'm building it in Kelowna....I see you are from S'toon. I was born there but grew up in Unity. Actually, I haven't grown up yet but that's another story.

Yeah we're fine over here...better than up in Bahrain. The natives are restless there, too bad the F1 is cancelled this year. I was lucky to be at the first F1 in Bahrain in 2004, an excellent venue, great race too.

The F1 track here is something else too. Two weeks ago Eric Clapton was there in concert. This Tuesday we rode our bicycles on the track (a weekly event) and on the 5th of March there is a drag racing extravagana, top fuel cars and all.

The biggest daily challenge here is getting to work in one piece, the driving is atrocious. Tomorrow we're going over to Yas Island and Ferrari World to ride the worlds fastest roller coaster. Whoohoo!

I'll get those garage pictures up when I find them in the bowels of this computer...
