Hi from the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm restoring (partially) a 1974 MGB, and I just bought a used 9000# Benwil lift. I am looking for any installation info for the lift...footprint, distance between the (2) posts, etc. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome! I'm in the Sacramento area (Orangevale), just moved here a year ago. There will be an MG in my future - my wife is keen on having one at some point. I need to get my existing project finished first though.

It takes some time but it's almost always worth the effort to search this forum for info like what you're seeking for your lift. I looked and there are a number of threads on GJ about Benwil lifts. It looks like there are parts diagrams here: http://www.sviinternational.com/products/benwil/

Thanks Rob. I'm up in Brownsville north of you. I've been to svi's website and downloaded the parts manual. I'm now emailing them to see if I can get more info.

You are right; this GJ is a great place to look for help.
