Hello all! I first made myself known in the HF coupon thread (had decided independently on the 44" HF rolling cabinet and was scouring the internet for a $349 coupon), and thought I would introduce myself here as well. 
First time homeowner, purchased my house about 2 and a half years ago and am finally getting around to working on the garage after working on the other areas that needed more work. Big selling point of the house for me was the garage, as it's a nice DEEP 2-car with plenty of room to work. I'm a novice mechanic and handyman working on my improving my skills. My background is mostly AV/Computer/Electrical based, as I used to work designing/installing custom home and automotive AV installations (think home theater rooms and SQ competition car stereo installs); and I currently work as a Senior Software Engineer.
Looking forward to learning more here, in addition to picking up tips on cleaning the pre-stained garage floor (previous owners had some bad fluid leaks all over the garage floor ), assembling a good bang-for-the-buck compressor/air-tool setup, and with any luck someday setting up a nice full-time workshop/garage away from the house.
