Hi from Denver
After 2 years of headache with the city of denver I finaly got my garage approved 2 months ago.
I thought the most difficult was done and it will go easy from there.
no no no no it was not.
After I called 811 we found out that the undergroung main line to the transformer was under the garage. It has to be moved and the transformer also has to be moved as Excel Energy want 10 feet clearance to access the transfo.
Excell has not been too difficult to work with at all, and by the end of next week this should be all taking care.
The worst was comcast. after finding that a comcast cable was there I contacted them. A guys came and told us that it was not our cable but a main network cable and he will sent someone else. No body came I called back Comcast and they sent another guy that came and told us that he needs to send some one else. Another guys came and said that he will recontact us.
4 weeks after still ne news I am getting really frustrated with comcast.
Hope this will be resolved soon.
I here attached the plan view as you can see the form is complicated. This is because to make it as big as possible I had no choice to follow the yard border line.
The garage is insulated 950 sqft and will have a 12' 6" ceiling.
Entrance door is a 12' W x 10' H
The garage will have a 9000lbs 2 post lift to start. I may add a second one later.
As far as the floor I am still hesitating as what to do. I received the sample from racedeck but I am concern to do some serious mechanic on this kind of floor. Welding??? lifting with a jack?? or using a torche and having a glowing steel part falling on the plastic floor.
My son told me that the new BMW garage in town put ceramic tiles on the floor (porcelain??)
will see but I need to make a decision pretty soon.
