Hey Guys, My name is Jim and I am a Street Rod builder from Farmers Branch, TX. I have a small shop in Garland, TX and I am obsessed with old tools, machines, tool boxes , & anything old with wheels! I have been building custom cars for almost 17 years in the Dallas area. 14 years were with a big name shop in the NE corner of the metroplex and for the last 2+ years I have been doing freelance work and a mobile street rod repair business. About a year ago I started working for a shop in Garland and we decided to go in as partners and make a go of it.

I am really obsessed with old shop equipment. I started trying to get machines for the shop and started letting everyone I knew that I was looking for old stuff. I first got an awesome old Delta 15-650 vsr floor model drill press for doing some work on a friend's car and before I knew it we had 5 drill presses! Now I have trading material. I bought and old shopmaster bandsaw that I am converting to metal and am still looking for an old Delta or Craftsman belt sander. I have a couple of pics below and look forward to learning from everyone on hear and cherry picking awesome ideas.

Thanks guys

Jim: nice pictures and welcome to our group. i usually hang in the vise and old tools section so i'll look forward to seeing a few of your posts. just ask questions if you need to or even better share some of all those years where you learned and impart some of your wisdom to us that can use more.

cheers and here's my 2 bench model DP's and it's hard to stop looking for their cousins so understand how you ended up with 5. i do have a few vises and noticed you might have a Wilton made for Snap On vise sitting on your bench which is a keeper.
