Hello. I look forward to sharing ideas, thoughts and stories. I'm joining for a variety of reasons with #1 being advice of building an affordable garage, ideally about 30' x 60' . Torn between diy, pole barn and steel. Need to have the right look for the neighborhood. Will have to do a variance. I'm in Northern Delaware so perhaps a good task for an Amish built structure.

Any and all advice welcomed.

Thank you and enjoy the day,

Dave

Gismo: i'm hoping to build a steel frame building if i ever get the property and a few more skills. wood is what i'm used to, but if you might have read the vise thread here at all you'll see i like big old steel objects a lot.

any pictures to post of your property? have you picked out a plan yet or just sort of chosen a size? also if you ask how big to build a shop garage or building most of the members will tell you to build as much as you can afford.

may i suggest to read a lot of threads on garages about the same size and quality as yours and if you have questions now that you are a member just make a post and ask.

good luck on your build an welcome to our group
