Hey people, thought I would say hello, and show a few pics of my garage, it is nothing fancy, kinda wimpy compared to most on here. :) I built the house and garage myself over the course of about 10 months. I have literally never had a garage so I thought I would splurge a little on this one.

Few things I did, pre-wired audio, cable/sat., internet, phone. Put a sink in the corner with a washing machine for rags etc. 8' doors, 12' ceilings, maple crown mouldings, maple newal posts (I am a trim carpenter) :) Put in a NG heater with some ceiling fans. also put in a seperate 100 amp panel in the corner. I am in the process of building the cabinets, so cabinets, countertops, then probably flooring is in the near future. Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the site. That's a nice space and equipment that you have. You've got a couple of interesting ideas for storage that I'm going to put into my garage like the shelf over the overhead door. I don't think I've ever seen someone with so many tapes (or Mountain Dew) in one place at one time.:lol_hitti

Keep us posted on what you end up doing to finish the space.

it is mountain dew, it was on sale that week. :spit: Here is another of more storage. The whole garage is a mess right now, but you get the point.

I like your floor drain. I wish I had gone with something more like that for mine. Nice garage...Welcome.
Guess you need those in MN, since it's too cold to wash a car about 1/2 the year, haha. I agree though, nice garage, wish mine was that big!

Looks like someone snuck in a can of Coke in there! (close-up shot of 3rd stall) Interesting use of ladder and platform for shelvings. Looks like you can build anything with the equipment you've got.

Thanks, I thought it was kinda funny (and true? :)

Come on now, it is in the 50's here today! Yes it was mostly washing vehicles, plus also snow melting off vehicles, and cleaning floor. It a touch over 900 sq. ft. I wish it was bigger too, deeper at least. the main part is 30' deep, the last stall is 34'.

You have to have something to mix the Morgan with! :spit: I am a carpenter/woodworker so the tools are for that. I hate to admit it, but there really is only a couple more tools l need. big bandsaw will be the next tool. I have a few aluminum planks that I used to build the home, and wasn't sure where to put them. I threw them up there and they seem to have stayed. One is a 20' the other is an expandle one (my favorite) from 8' - 14' or so.

Whats that thing hanging in the middle of the garage that says 'jet' on it?

Yup, it is an air cleaner.

Thanks for compliments, it is a work in progress. I am pretty excited to have a garage now, wife just rolls her eyes about it though. Easily my favorite part of the entire thing is the sink. SOOO nice to have that there.

Hey,

I did something similar to this im my garage. If you have the ceiling height, you can really come out with the shelf to make it really deep. I think I made mine about 4' deep using some angle iron and shelving sway bars.....

I don't want to hijack the post with pics, but here is a link to my flickr account:

I think I did these style shelves all over the top edge of the garage. It makes it easy to store **** you don't use for months. I remember I just finished the two shelves above the garage door when my sister announced that she was joining the Army and would need a place to store all of here belongings/**** and my parents volunteered my new garage....I think I lost those shelves for about 3 years, and I just got them back a few months ago when she moved into her own apartment after serving in Iraq for 2+ years......

And no it's not the same England you read about in the papers.....
