I hang out mostly at a forum site that centers around old woodworking machinery (owwm.org), but I always seem to end up on GJ when I Google something. I decided to join because members here will appreciate a recent purchase far more than the "Old 'Arn" crowd at the machinery forum. Looking to improve the organization in my shop, I was browsing through Facebook Marketplace looking for a tool box. I found a square-cornered Huot #101. From stuff I found here and from the 1956 Huot catalog on their site, the square corners indicate that it was made prior to 1956. It's in very nice condition, even better after I hit it with a power buffer.
I'm in the process of building a wooden stand to hold it. Pictures will follow in the next few days when the stand is done.
Thanks for a community of guys who appreciate old tool that don't have cords.
