What a nice forum this is......became interested when researching toolboxes. The drawer slides on my 25 year old Craftsman top/bottom boxes are now a pain, although everything else is holding up very well. Long story short, you guys/gals piqued my interest in the Harbor Freight 44 and 56 boxes. I'm a guy who rarely sets foot in HF, but will listen with an ear to the ground on items I'm looking for or to update...hence this website.

Me? I'm a later 50's mechanical designer (solidworks and autocad) who has been a mechanical tinkerer since my mid-teens. My garage is fairly well equipped to handle round-the-house stuff, and not afraid to spend a little coin for the right tool for the job. A couple of 'fun' things I have are a 75% restored 1946 Atlas 42" lathe with extremely negligible wear, and a very nice original 1958/59 Cavalier 72 Coke machine I bought last year from a neighbor that me and my son will be working on shortly.

I've tinkered with cars, planes, houses, sectioned my daughters full sized bed into a single as there wasn't enough room - you name it, and have the mindset that as soon as I buy something for the house, I'm figuring what I need to do to make it better.

This is a great place! Keep up the good work!!
