Hello,
I am new to this forum. I ended up on this site while looking for an old school Special Forces Matco passthrough ratchet. I used to work in a shop for about 6 yrs and now am working in sales at National Instruments. I miss working at the shop since I enjoyed the trouble shooting and the figuring out what possible issues could be. Now I only do my own mechanic work since I am not too confident on mechanic shops making sure they put all the bolts and screws in after a job. Believe me, after working at the shop, I saw many supposedly great mechanics that always said, "Ah! you don't need that screw." To me, if the screw was there when you removed it, then just put it back. It does not matter if you think that it is not needed. In any case, I do not specialize in any specific vehicles since the understanding of mechanics and how things work is pretty much an all around solution to most automotive needs whether it be a timing belt, engine overhaul, engine swaps, fuel pressure regulators, or simple oil changes. IF you know how things work then you can pretty much trouble shoot anything. And now-a-days, you even have scanners to tell you possible sensors or solutions by reading trouble codes. All in all, I say HELLO TO You. If you have questions, please send me a message and I will see if I can help....
